How to evaluate the error codes of AI module diagnostics alarms?

Copied from manual on AIx8 module: "A diagnostics alarm is output for each diagnostics event and the ERROR LED flashes on the module. The diagnostics alarms can, for example, be read from the diagnostics buffer of the CPU. You can evaluate the error codes with the user program." Wire break - Error code = 6h Overflow - Error code = 7h Under flow - Error code = 8h Load voltage missing - Error code = 11 So how to read this codes according to module?

Denilson Pegaia Diamond Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 12/24/2025 Posts: 4434 Rating: (1487)	Hi, In took this text on the 8xAI Manual: "If the module is operated distributed with PROFIBUS DP in an ET 200MP system, you have the option to read out diagnostics data with the instruction RDREC or RD_REC using data record 0 and 1. The structure of the data records is available on the Internet in the "Manual for interface module IM 155-5 DP ST (6ES7155-5BA00-0AB0)".

Denilson Pegaia Diamond Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 12/24/2025 Posts: 4434 Rating: (1487)	Hi, Unhappily it is not possible to use the RDREC or RD_REC for central rack application neither to get exactly the same information (in the same format), despite could be possible get similar information for other ways. In the post https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/89419/ I make references to other ways to get diagnose. Maybe you could use other simple ways like diagnose byte, or ModuleStatus or some other open related. As suggestion, Mr. Dwight Britt from Technical Support EUA sent us an application example where it is used RALRM to get diagnose data. Note: due file size limitation I needed to compact the archive with 7z format Thanks to Mr. Britt and all collegues from Technicial Support EUA for the help. Thank you for this information! You are refering that these functions couldn't be used for central rack of S7-1500 CPU. Where can I find this statement in simatic official documents? I need to evaluate error codes of channels in central rack too. Determination of the presence or absence of a channel error is not enough. How can I evaluate error codes of channels at the PLC startup for S7-1500 (CPU1512SP)?
