i am using foolowing sequence

>> start

>> wait for signal start

>> enable axis

>> gearing on(external encoder)

>> wait for axis (syncrhonized)

>> set output

When i give start in put an alarm A50006 comes which says

""The activation or deactivation of the synchronous operation was performed directly without consideration of the synchronization length because a synchronization in the standstill of the slave axis was possible with the programmed synchronization conditions."""

And the the output is set without axis movement.

what could be the reason

Sorry for bothering but my external encoder is giving a continuous velocity feedback of say 50mm/sec. and my axis is at home position. Now if i give gearing on command to the axis i expect the axis should move and be synchronised with external encoder that means the axis sould also move with a velocity of 50mm/s.

But when i give gearing on command the alarm A50006 comes and the axis remains in standstill condition.

this is the problem.

For the reference my application is a D410 based flying shear application. I need to run the axis synchronised with material Speed(External Encoder). When i get the status that the axis is Synchronised then i have to release Cut command after getting a feedback of Cutting completed i will desynchronise the axis and will move the axis to home again.

To implement this i used gearing on command as sugested in the previous post of this thread.

Pls guide me on the matter.
