VC or VB using Win Socket communication with S7-300 PLC?

fbelic Posts: 327 Rating: (28)	Greetings Communication itself is not a big problem, it is a standard TCP or UDP communication. From the side of PLC you use FB63-68 (TSEND, TRCV, TCON, TDISCON, TUSEND and TURCV) and from the side of PC standard Sockets. Bigger problem is to make this reliable. Best regards

Best regards PLC side is not problem,I worried about the PC side. i'm a fresher on VC or VB, I try to find some example programs. why nobody do this? Do you think it would be reliable if these worked in LAN ?

fbelic Posts: 327 Rating: (28)	Greetings In attachment is a very simple program that sends and receives few bytes over UDP vith PLC on address 192.168.0.1, ports 2500 and 2501. It is done in c# (Visual C# 2010), which is similar to VB. Regarding reliability, I was thinking about things like: how to be sure that send data is received on other side what to do when there is a break in communication which data is has priority etc, Best regards Attachment UDP_primanje.zip (487 Downloads)
