Rudrani Posts: 163 Rating: (4)	Hello all, There is one old system with S7 300 CPU which is password protected and I dont know the password. Now I want to remove the password so what can i do now?...because CPU is not allowing me to download the new backup without password. Is there any way to reset the password of memory card without PG? or i have to use new memory card? pls reply soon thanks

If its one with a big blue memory card and a battery (that's old) remove the card and reprogram the PLC as long as the batterry is o.k. you can do without the memory card. If it's one with a small MMC, no hope. Regards, Marcjan Hello, Marcjan's idea is good if you have the big memory card type. But in this case your program will be stored on CPU. Which means, in case of battery failure + power off the CPU, you will need to re-download the program again. Although the old type of memory cards is obsolete, but you still can buy it. Buy a new one and store the software on it. You can buy it from other company like "process informatik". Hope this helps.
