muneeb Posts: 171 Rating: (0)	Dear All i have one Internal tag. i want to move a value in that tag through a C script, then i want compiler to wait for some certain time and reset that value . is there any sleep function or wait function in C. Can anyone send me a sample program? Regards muneeb

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, Avoid using the sleep/wait function, since it stops the execution af all scripts for that time and that could introduce a delayin your system. You could use a for loop that counts to a certain amount of time. or use the search functionality, I'm sure something is listed here in the forum. with regards, Ikkezelf

In fact, she stops the thread that call her, but surprisingly in WinCC, other functions in queue (other scripts in the same screen and global script), running even if one of the functions in queue is sleeping. So, these functions are not running on the same thread.

I make a simple Pdl with increasing a Tag valueby pressing a botton and a botton that when i press, kernel sleep started. during the sleep , increasing the value does not occured and it only latched and after the sleep it tooke effect.
