mahnasr Posts: 43 Rating: (0)	hi experts do everybody know how we can check or test a resolver.(6 wire) we havw changing the servo motor resolver(1fk7044 siemens servo motor).but we coudnt run the motor any way.we must tune the resolver for commutation or not.?how? best regards.

The tuning process is described in SINAMICS function manual chap. 3.13: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/68042590 Within p1980 and p1990 an onetime pole-ID can be configured. Please note that a changed angular commutation offset has to be taken into account in case that the whole motor should be replaced once in a future step.

zako_ Posts: 895 Rating: (67)	you can do a pole indentification for encoders, absolute encoders, resolvers, ... So it does not depend on the encoder type. You need the procedure for synchronous motors.
