Naaltje Experienced Member Joined: 9/28/2012 Last visit: 8/12/2025 Posts: 75 Rating: (3)	I like the topic and believe the question should be posted here concerning tia portal basic, ldr program, s7-1200, db1=Data_block_1, I have a db1 filled with data on adres 2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. I want to use the data on these adresses as a recipie for that day. The recipie contains "int". I have also a counter that is counting 1 to 8. I want to move the recipie of that day to another db simply using indirect pointing as the counter value is the pointer. for direct adressing i use "Data_block_1"."2" on the in tag of the move instruction. This is working fine. For indirect adressing i thought to change the in statement to "Data_block_1"."[#"counter".CV]". But somehow this is not working. anybody has an idea how to solve this laantje

Thanks for your cooperation Laantje With the s7-1200, you can also PEEK into your DB using SCL with indirect addressing. Array is better for indexing, but if you want to read your data and it is not in an array, PEEK_WORD, PEEK_BYTE, and so on can do it.
