Mohanna Posts: 38 Rating: (1)	Hi experts We have a PLC CPU 417 with order no "417-4XT05-0AB0" with memory card "MC SRAM 4MB" And the power card "PS 405 4A" with 3.6 lithum battery so please could you tell me whay do we have both memory Card and a battery togather in case the benefit of memory Card storing the user program ? Regards

Regards Hello, Some purposes of using Back-up Batteries Back up the user program stored in RAM Retain bit memories, timers,counters,system data and data in variable data blocks Back up the internal clock Plus Buffered Power On Mode (H-CPUs). Regards Hi Mohanna, As you are using RAM card so Battery is required to store memory if Flash memeory you are using then in that case battery need not be required Hope this helps
