I have problems with Micromaster 440 type 6SE6440-2UD41-3GA1. 130kW It is the second time in six months when the IGBT enter in a short circuit (burn). Can someone tell me what is the cause that causes burning IGBT's. Mention that it is mounted on an extruder, and the time when the IGBT snapped. motor function in normal constant of about 2 days

What are you extruding? Are the Motor and Drive Matched (High Overload Drive Capacity for Extruders) Are there any Fault messages in the History? Have you tested all the usual suspects? Motor/Cable Insulation Resistance Environmental (i.e. fluid ingress/High Temperature in panel) Can you upload a parameter set? Regards, Graeme
