nghaiha Posts: 33 Rating: (3)	I don't want to use defaut message box of VB or VC. I want to create myselft. So I create a new picture "Exit.pdl" with the width of 300 pixels anh height of 200 pixels. I create a button Exit in my main picture "Main.pdl", I expect that when I press Exit button, the picture "Exit.pdl" will be visible at center of screen (or somewhere) with the width and height of 300 and 200 pixels respectively. However, picture "Exit.pdl" is always visible of full screen. I try many times and many ways but unsuccessfully Please help me! P/S: Newbie always has many sxtxuxpxixd and sxixlxlxy questtions, plz help.

After making a dialog box appears (by pressing on a button), User still can press this button again or work with other objects in my project. I would like to prevent user doing anything before close this dialog box. How can I do that?

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Unfortunately you cannot make picturewindows modal, which is effectively what you are asking for. To do this you will need to find a workaround. One way would be to have a internal bit tag. When your popup window opens it sets the bit tag to one. At the same time you have a script on the enable property of all objects that need locking down that set the enable property to false when the tag is set to one. A little convoluted, I am sure there are tidier ways. Salma

Not modal but Hi perdahlqvist, I check your opinion whether it is feasible. I create a buttonthen I createa rectangle covering the button. If therectangle is solid, I cannot press the button. Of course, because the button is behind the rectangle. But when I let the rectangle transparent, althought the button is behind the rectangle, I can still press the button.

Please use "graphic object" as a "hider". 1. Create a bmp file (only one colour) 2. In Graphics Designer: connect this in "graphic object", make the colour transparent. 3. This object can block buttons etc in runtime. (Same setup as with rectangle) By some reason objects behave differently from version to version, so this is valid right now. //Per
