motor over temperature in simovert vc drive

vickysiemens Posts: 53 Rating: (1)	Dear All, We have simovert VC drive in ZPMC crane in hoist application. drive ampere rating is 1100 A and this drive configred in Master-Slave combination. (both are identical) these drive drives common gearbox with individual motors motors are standard siemensmotors and identicals rating with 819 hp, 500v, 840A cranes are running from 5 years but sudenly we observed since last one month slave motor temperature is rise up to 110c in load condition. we changed the motor with new one still problem not solved. we checked current and rpm of master and slave drive during load condtion and found 20A Difference in current. master take more current than slave but temperature of slave motor is rises rapidly and master's motor temperature stable at 60c. we take put cuvc and of this crane and insert it to another crane's electronics box and found ever thing is working ok. please helpme out to solve this problem cheked pysically motor temperature rises as shown in drive monitor r009. this mean no problem from sensing unit. help me.

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Just few points to check. 1. Check slave motor drive output & motor terminals for any loose connections. (Specially in junction box) 2. Are these both motors are coupled to common drive shaft of gear box? Please check if drive gear box shaft at slave motor is hot. 3. At what RPM motorboth the motor runs? How much is speed difference? 4.Have you chceked the cooling of slave motor?

vickysiemens Posts: 53 Rating: (1)	Dear Piscean, we cheked the value of output voltage in the db of PLC which is send by drive. we found there is a difference in output voltage in master and slave drive. slave gives more output voltage with compare to master drive and also this difference is much significant at lower speed. what could be the reason? is that hardware malfunctioning ? IGBT problem... due to these motor over tempreture is happened? reply please..

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Hello, From the attached back up, the set point to your drives are from K3002 & K3003 control words (drive). Is it sent by PLC? Please check the set points & PLC logic. As far as parameters are concerned, I don't find problem in it. HTH.
