dont see the symbols for local variables

Any solutions for this? Thanks in advance Fredrick Fredrick, I assume the "local variables" you speak of, are the variables declared inside the FB / FC / DB / OB / ++. Your global variables ( I / Q / M / T / C / ++) get their symbols from the symbol table. Also the names you give code blocks. The symbols for the variables inside the blocks (IN / OUT / IN-OUT / TEMP / STAT) are however not listed in the symbol table. That is also true for the network comments. My suggestion to you is to compare the two projects uploaded vs (copy of) original. Bring over the changed code from uploaded version to original. I know it is a pain.. but it is the best method I know. The alternative is to upload the program over the (copy of) original. BUT if there is networks that has been added, you will have your netowrk comments in the wrong place. Otherwise try a combination of the two methods. lad_stl Posts: 101 Rating: (0)	PLC does not store symbols .it only stores data in diffrent memory area. so you have to have copy of the offline (pre made application) with the symbole table to have the symbols in your program.

The post from Mr. Daniel Chartier is now a bit out of context. The comments made by me on 7/16/2014, 6:32 PM is off topic for your problem that now have its own thread. Please refer to the original thread [LINK] To explain the off-topic ideas.. What is suggested is that you store all relevan information of the project to the MMC card. You use the MMC card as a secondary storage for your computer.. as if it is a (small) harddisk. You will be able to stroe any PC file (including your STEP7 project), provided you have enough space. I am very sorry for the confusion I caused on this. w
