time syncronization between s7-200 (226 cpu) and KTP 600 color dp

shivendra jaiswal Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	Wizard patel Dear all.... I have one problem in TP 177B PN/DP 4" PANEL. I have developed program for SET_RTC and READ_RTC in S7-200 PLC. Also i have provided provision of DATE & TIME FIELD on one screen HMI. In that field,i have selected property of ' USE TAG' .In that i have provided the tag that i configured for update of plc time. Also area pointer i have defined in connections for plc date/time.trigger mode is' cyclic continuous'. Aquisition cycle time is set to 1 minute. I designed one screen on HMI to read current date and time and also provide one provision to change the date and time of plc through hmi. Now the problem is, as soon as i update time from HMI screen,my plc time is getting updated. This i can confirm by reading current date/time from hmi screen.Also this change reflacts in DATE/TIME FIELD on one screen.So i can judge whether time has changed or not. But at the same time,whatever alarms are generated in HMI,are coming with predefined date and time of something 01/01/2009...... Now at any how,i tried a lot, but i cant change this alarms date/time to my current date/time. I download same program to TP 177B 6" and it works nicely.... Please guide me... Because you use a S7-200, you should have a look at this link: how do you synchronize the system clock between a Windows-based panel and an S7-200 CPU with WinCC flexible? Best regards, Wizard thanks for your suggestion i have a KTP 600 color dp and i tryed soloution provied by you. but it didnt work. do you have any other soloution for time syncronization betweens7-200 (226 cpu) and KTP 600 color dp ?

Now what happen if i switch off PLC (s7-200 programed with step-7 micro win v4.0.9.25) and HMI (KTP 600 color DP programed with TIA professional v 13.0) for more than 20 min then there is time delay in the PLC as well as HMI also. and if i switch off both PLC and HMI for more than 10 hours than PLC time is delay by more than 5 hours and HMI time goes to default time. and we need to set again PLC time. But as per the s7-200 manual backup (super-cap)is 100 hours and at 40deg it would be 70 hr. min. I request you to provide me the explanation why such problem occurs...and does it has any solution.... Hello shivendra jaiswal, How many years has your CPU? feeling around the capacitor works about 7 years, Have you tried with the battery module?

shivendra jaiswal Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	dear Ste39 thanks for your replay my cpu is new manufactured in dec-2013 and we did not use battery module. why should we use batter module, does it has any impact on the new cpu.
