Bryll Posts: 168 Rating: (5)	I noticed a verystrange thing in the operator panels today. It's no longer a problem, but I really would like to know how it can happen. I have a drawing of the plant on one of the pages in the panel were I try to indicate whats on the two "pillars". One at the inlet and one at the outlet. Each pillar got four lamps: Red - Alarm. Yellow - Manual control. Green - Auto control. White - Load/unload OK. I built my pillar with small circles that I change color on with a text indicating the function. The same tag used to change the color of the circle is used for the visibility of the text beside the circle. All of a sudden when the alarm indication shall be lit and the text "Alarm" beside it shall be visible,is the yellow indicator "lit" and the text for Alarm is shown. Same for all the indications on the inlet and outlet side, they are offset by some reason. Inlet and outlet reads different tags from the PLC. The cure was to remove the circles at the inlet and create new ones. It also corrected the problem of the indications at the outlet side. This is not the first time I have to create new "indications" for the panels to get them to work again. I'm now using V12 SP4, but I had the same thing in V11. What can I do to avoid this ? Edit: I use the Comfort panels

Thaught it would be solved with V12. As a long time SIEMENS user I got used to it. If it's not a failure it's a feature! Skipping versions saves you painand money. Best Regards.

During comissioning of a new project, we discovered that some HMI indications that we had tested previously had suddenly quit working. We tried rebooting the devices, redownloading the software, etc. The final solution was to change the tag table from symbolic access to absolute access. When V12 SP1 came out, the problem appeared to be fixed but I keep an eye out for it just in case.
