There are 3 possibilities: - MPI: slow and you must have an MPI card on the computer - Profibus: you must have a Profibus FMS card on SAS and CP5613 on computer. The main problem is that the drivers required for this card are only available for Windows XP. - Ethernet: you must have a Ethernet card on SAS. This is the preferred method. If these options are not enough, you could use a telecontrol protocol from SAS and connect it to PAS. For example, you already have a T101, T104, DNP link to a control center. You can use this channel, or a free port from MCP, and connect it to PAS, then from PAS to SCC. Mike

No need for Sicamn PAS. If your SAS does not have T 104 but only IEC 101 you could use protocol converter and convert IEC 101 to IEC 104 but this is not the best solution. Avoid it if possible. Best Regards Ensar Hi ensar the problem with T104 directly on SCC is that you need Toolbox. There you have to create manually all addresses from SAS (maybe not so difficult by copy paste from plusTools) and send the information to SCC. If the existing SAS has IEC101 or 104 channel, it means it communicates with a control center. With Sicam PAS the connection to control center would be via PAS, with SCC this is not possible, unless he has spare ports in SAS. Mike

But to change SAS to PAS or add PAS to SAS is very expensive. It would be cheaper to by card for SAS. Some of them are still available on market. SAS usually has more then one IEC 101 or 104 so chanses that he has one free port are big. My idea is to keep SAS and connect SCC to it. That was his question in the beginning. SAS would still communicate with Control Center. I know that SCC cant communicate with control center. Best regards. Ensar
