Halimsus Posts: 7 Rating: (1)	Hello, My company recently upgraded my laptop. So I need to install Siemens software on the new laptop. Every program (WinCC, WinCC flex, Step7, Protool, etc) seems to be installed just fine. I compared the "Installed software" of the old and new laptop, everything match up. (Step 7 v5.4 SP2, WinCC v6.2, WinCCFlex2005 vSP7 HF7) Now When I try to open a step 7 project by using Simatic manager, I got the following error: "Step 7 Start (257:5)" "One or more objects or a type cannot be represented. Server 's7omwinx.dll' for _S7W_WINCC_CT objects could not be loaded. Make sure the required software packages are installed" " See attached file for the error message and the help. I searched my new laptop, and this file exists and located at: C:\Program Files\Siemens\Step7\S7BIN\ So I reinstalled Step7 5.4 SP2. As soon as done installing it, I restarted my computer. Then as soon as it boots up, I open the same project, and no error message appears. Great!!. But then after I close the simatic manager and open it again, the same error shows up again. Anyone know what I should do to get rid of this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated. Susanto Attachment Error.jpg (797 Downloads)

maocolo Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have the same problem after integrated a WinCCFlexible 2005 project in Step7. I tried to reinstall completely the software and clear all the register keys... But the problem has not gone... Every time i open Step7, I have the same problem...

Halimsus Posts: 7 Rating: (1)	Hello, This problem was solved by reinstalling WinCC. Thinking back, I believe the problem started because I ran The Diskeeper 2008 soon after I'm done installing all my siemens softwares. I stopped using diskeeper 2008 and go back with diskeeper 9. Everything is working fine since then. I hope thiss clears things up. Thank You

The previous member Halimsus said:"WinCC, WinCC Flex...". I don't know if this is valid in your case, but to have in one PC both software on the same time installed it's not good idea.
