JV07 Posts: 3 Rating: (2)	I am trying without much luck to use the Datagrid control to diplay and edit data from a sql database. I have used successfully the Flex grid control and also individual I/O fields to display and edit my data but after many searches of the web I but haven't found a solution that works in Wincc 6.2. This is basically what I have now. I managed to get the MS ADO Data Control (ver6) and the MS Data Grid Control (ver6) to display, access, and edit my SQL database in wincc. Here's the code I am using. [code] Dim DBGrid Dim DBControl Dim DBString Set DBGrid = ScreenItems("Control1") Set DBControl = ScreenItems("Control2") DBString ="Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=MYDATABASE;Data Source=.\WinCC" DBControl.ConnectionString = DBString DBControl.CommandType = 1 DBControl.RecordSource = "Select * FROM MainResultsData" DBControl.Refresh Set DBGrid.DataSource = DBControl.Recordset [/code] Adding the .Recordset in the last line seemed to do the trick. The refresh also was important. Control1 is a Microsoft Data Grid,Control2 is a Microsoft ADO data Control. Hope this helps, someone else. James

I have tried to use the BeforeEditCol event to get the row number and cancel the edit operation but the cancel operation dosent seem to be working in WinCC 6.2 SP2. I tried your successexample, but I am stillhaving problem with the last line: SetDBGrid.DataSource=DBControl.Recordset Because I receive the error: 438 Object doesn't support this property or method. could you please advice? renata Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, I also want to contribute to the forum, so here is the solution: I couldn't manage to make the Datagrid, DatagridViewor ListView to work for WinCC 7.0.2.4. However I used the Active X control:Microsoft Office Spreadsheet 11.0 and I can see my table on the HMI. Even though I do not have Excel installed on my computer. It does not matter. The code was ok, I believe the problem was the Datagrid compatibility with the Wincc version.
