WinCC Flexible Advanced 2007 Toolbars Disappeared!

snk Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have installed the software last week, was running fine until today, WHERE ALL OF MY TOOLBARS have disappeared. I cannot seem to get them back visually either. I cannot double click on my objects to bring up their properties manageras well. Is there something that has changed in the settings or something? This is extremely frustrating....

snk Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I tried the attached instructions, with no change. I really don't want to have to re-install everything. It took a couple of hours for the whole install, plus I don't even know how it changed to begin with.

Hi snk, this topic is closed / solved, and here is the solution: "Recreate WinCC flexible Templates and Caches For different reasons it can become necessary to set back WinCC flexible to a defined original status. Reasons for this can be the following: -defective configuration of the surface (Property view no longer visible or incomplete) -defective database-templates The following procedure recreates the database-templates of WinCC flexible and erases the caches: 1. Please close all processes „Hmies.exe“ and „HmiSmartStart.exe“ with the Windows TaskManager. Please do not close the TaskManager. 2. After this please start the following procedure (described below) via START > RUN and copy following line into the command prompt (maybe you must adapt your install path to this command line): "C:\Program Files\Siemens\SIMATIC WinCC flexible\WinCC flexible 2005\Hmies.exe" -reset -new -silentmode true -autoclose true 3. After this you must check the starting of a new task hmies.exe in the TaskManager. 4. After 2-3 min's this task should be closed automatically. Now you can start WinCC flexible again as usual. It is only this software that is acting up... Is this a software error? Hi snk, I don't know why or how is happening this problem, but this error I have 4 times. First 2 times I make a reinstall, and after that I have had enough. I wrote the SIEMENS and they have sended this method... I think yes it's a little bug in the program... But I think they will try to fix it... Best regards Zenta

But i will add some info for WinCC Flexible 2008 users, After 2-3 miutes HmiES.exe is not stoping automaticaly, I just closed the WinCC and restarted, Its now on its original state. thanks Regards Danish KSA
