Time-of-day interrupt OB10 --to OB17

Subrata Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	I am looking for some guidelines how to use time-of-day interrupt OB call, say OB10. I am not very clear when I call the OB10, how to specify its execution duration. For example, on the specific date/Time (1st of every month, 10:00AM) execution duration to be for say 15 Minutes. What I understand by SFC28 I can specify the OB, SFC30 I Can activate it, SFC29 can de-activate it and FC12 (IEC) can compare two Time/date settings. Whether I need to link something with FC12, any example? Again, what happens if I do not specify the duration whether it will call and scan only once, and wait for the next event..which is again next month?

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	OB1x may be configured in 2 ways - 1) Using SFC 2) Using HW. Try second - it's easier to understand. And one more thing - these OBs do NOT have any "duration" - they are called once (or once a hour/week/month) - so code inside would be implemented once.

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi In the HWconfig double click on the CPU and then goto time-of-day-interrupt .Depending on the CPU type there are one or more interrupts ( CPU 313 = OB10, CPU414 = OB10,11,12,13) but for your problem I think you will have to write software : ie use once a day interrupt , get date from PLC , compare date with information in a db then if date = db info then do my program for 15 minutes and end, Bye Eric

This bit enables a block call in your normal cycle. As well as an Timer. The block executes your program. When the Timer runs out it resets the bit. Ton
