autom Posts: 89 Rating: (1)	Hello to Everyone I am using Wincc Flexible 2005 HF4 to build an HMI on a PC. On RunTime an error message appears Overflow - no data exchange with the PLC. That message wasnt appearfor ayear untill i have done a download with one change (set a bit with the scheduler every minute for syncronization). Then i delete that schedule task but the error remains. I need to know the reason of the overflow and how can I solve it. The system consists of a PLC (CPU314) which controls one HMI PC, the communication protocol is MPI with 187.5 Baud rate the PC contains a CP5611 PCI-Card all the communication cables are profibus cables number of power tags 254. Thangs In Advance

Khaled_Ezzat Gold Member Joined: 9/7/2007 Last visit: 4/3/2025 Posts: 550 Rating: (62)	Hi Autom I used to have the same problem but I fixed it so first look if the communication cable passes beside power cable or not moreover check if there is high resolution images or too many graphics this may also be a problem, or if you made lots of copy/paste to high resolution grouped graphics

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi Just try this :First compile the project before you download , also use the output to see if there are any warnings that may give you a clue to the problem. On OP's and WinCC flex 2004 we allways had to comile to make sure the download was correct and NEVER use delta transfer because I think there was still problems with the software. Bye Eric

Which system functions do you use with the sheduler or you are use a script in connection with the sheduler? When you are delete the sheduler function does the problem occurs anymore? Bye

When i delete the the sheduler functionthe problem still occurs.

AMAZINGAHMED Posts: 719 Rating: (88)	I had the same problem before, and this problem was very annoying that i had to re-make the whole HMI. I didn't find the reason, but my advise is always create backup, so if something is messed up, you don't have to rebuild the whole thing. The second advise is: don't make copy/paste for a complete screen. The third advise: give your objects unique names.
