swilly Posts: 52 Rating: (4)	Hi. I am not sure, but I think DriveCliq have the same physical layer that Ethernet, so with two RJ45 and UTP cables you can build by you own the cables. If you have one drivecliq cable test all the wires and try!.

The plugs on my cables (6FX8002-2DC10-1BJ0) are like standard RJ45 plugs except they have two extra pins on the back to supply the 24V to the encoder - is there somewhere I can buy these types of plugs seperately? I can't seem to find any/ Cheers.

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 12/22/2025 Posts: 6062 Rating: (828)	Hello, following our experiencewith self constructed cables (reported by our colleagues and customers): - self constructed cables lead increased to problems,some of them are even sporadical, so they only occur after the machine is already running for a long time (quite hard to find..) - faults which were caused by self constructed cables are don't covered by the warranty! - the follow up costs in case of a faultare a lot more than the costs forbuying the original cable..
