S7 project files

dejanH Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Hello, I need some information about S7 project files. I observed files that S7 creates/manages in diferent phases of a new project (creation/some sheets created/HW compiled/plc downloaded) and I see many files and directories. Are these files and directories describes somewhere? I would also like to know some minimal configuration to keep in version control system. Further thing – binaries, i.e. where to find downloadable binary files (files that S7 is downloading to PLC)? We’re working with S7 version V5.4+SP3+HF1, revision level K5.4.3.1. Thanks in advance.

Step7 internal structure is Dbase 3+ tables. Asforversionmanagement-itriedtomakethisthingbymyself ,buticouldfindtabletointerconnectCPUsandBlocks.

I need to understand structure of S7 project so to decide what to put in version control system (we use Clear Case) and what to avoid. Also it would be usefull to identify binaries i.e. downloadable files. Best Regards, Dejan
