Messages with user defined FBs in PCS7 V7.0

Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (14)	Hi, I have created a FB in PCS7 V7.0 Project with OCM Compatible. When the entire project was compiled this also created Process Objects in WinCC. My only doubt is à How to associate messages with this block, so that the same will get reflected in WinCC automatically. When this FB is inserted in CFC & when the property of this FB is viewed , the button named “message” under special property is disabled. Need some help so as how to associate message with used defined FB. Thanx Nil.

JerryK Posts: 17 Rating: (3)	Hello, You must insert ALARM_8P (SFB35) or NOTIFY_8P(SFB31) or some block, which support messages. Then try to connect on SIG1 - SIG8 (inputs of ALARM_8P) correspond signals. After compilation of OS, messages in WINCC will be automatically generated. If you will have some alarm block in your FB, then in CFC view the message button will be enabled and you can set your messages. JerryK
