Software and OS Versions

Richard Jupp Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	I have a customer who want a minor modification done and I have the means to do the change from our offices over a modem. The problem is when i looked at the project it is using a previous version of WinCC and when I have come to do this before the operationg system of the HMI has to be upgraded to macth the version I am running. Apart from installing the old WinCC software is there any work round as a OS upgrade over a modem is not viable as it takes too long and you need a person the other end to restore some of the settings before you can download again.I would be grateful if you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance Richard Jupp PS.. recently had the new version of WinCC 2008 arrive does this present the same problems with the OS compared to WinCC 2007 i.e. previous versions of software need an OS upgrade?

So like The Brain told you in this thread, perhaps you can make Back up on storage card. Or install old WinCC flexible and change project. hereyou can find information about installing different versions of WinCC flexible. Perhaps it's useful. Best regards, Wizard
