candyengineer Posts: 218 Rating: (26)	Dear SIEMENS forum members, We have SENTRON PAC3200 Energy Analyzer. I connect one device to read some current & voltage values (I can read from sentron) (we use profibus dp communication) I have successfully configurated Sentron from step7 . I also configurated device settings Communication is ok , no problem (Profibus module light is always green) As a master / slave communication structure, I know that I need to write something to those QBytes, to get values from SENTRON. (I guess, It doesnt give the values directly) What do I need to do ? What should I write to QW272 & QW273 ? Thanks in advance Best regards Attachment Untitled.jpg (1858 Downloads)

Hi,

It is not necessary towrite anything tothe output area for reading measured and metered values. Outputs are used for sending command to PAC, for example reset enery counter. See section 5.1.6 for command bytes.

It is not clear which CPU you are using, so I do not know the address you used fall on PII/PIQ area orpheripheral area. I am going to assume that it outside image area.If not change allPID with ID.

Here isthe data mapping of your config for reading values

Address	Signal	Format
PID272	Status signals as per section 5.1.5 of manual	Binary
PID276	Phase current a in A	Float(Real)
PID280	Phase current b in A	Float(Real)
PID284	Phase current c in A	Float(Real)
PID288	Total active power in W	Float(Real)
PID292	Voltage Va-b in V	Float(Real)
PID296	Voltage Vb-c in V	Float(Real)
PID300	Voltage Vc-a in V	Float(Real)
PID304 or PID 308	Active energy import tariff 1 in Wh	??
PID312	Total power Factor	Float(Real)

I am not clear about the format of tariff data. There are 8 bytes assiged to this. If you need this data you may have to play with this data and compare it with data displayed in PAC screen to understand it.

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	I think it because your DP data is with "Total Consistancy". You have two options here. If your CPU has Firmware >2.5, then you canchange your HW config to fit the IO in the Process image area and use ID instead of PID. This is possible only if Firmware is >2.5. Check the FAQ http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/8751062 Use SFC14 to read the data from the area as per your config. Since there are two submodules in HW config (Basic Type2 : 24 input bytes, Basic Type1 : 20 input bytes) You will have to call SFC14 twice. Once for Basic type2 and once for Basic type 1. So the parameters for SFC will look like. ________________________________ For Basic Type 2: LADDR : W#16#100 //100(Hex)=256 RET_VAL: MW 100 RECORD: P#DB100.DBX0.0 BYTE 24 ________________________________ ________________________________ For Basic Type 1: LADDR : W#16#118 //118(Hex)=280 RET_VAL: MW 102 RECORD: P#DB100.DBX24.0 BYTE 20 ________________________________ Now you should have your data in DB100 (create DB with same structure as your read area, So it should have atleast 44 bytes).

I try to connect with simatic step7, and as JMJ said , i tried as PID256 or whatever I want to read I could be able to read the variables, but I havent tried with wincc7, its good to learn if you will explain. best regards

I have a sentron pac3200 connected modbus TCP-IP network. I have no Profibus module, and the intention is connected through a network WinCC 7. I have not come to connect to WinCC through 7, there are no specifications on how to connect the pac3200 with wincc7, add the module modbus tcp-ip. but do not say what kind of cpu should be added, or whether we should add some addon for communication. I would like to explain from the outset to add the configuration sentron andalusia wincc7
