FM357-2 reference not correct position every time

S120 connect a motor with absolute encode (rotary, 512, 1 Vpp, A/B, EnDat, Multiturn 4096(2053),1FK7022-xAK7x-xLxx). and use TM41 connect by drive CLIQ, and TTLencode ofFM357-2 connect to FM357, when I make reference for FM357-2,the zero mark can find but every time is not same time(I use a BERO for FM357-2), the encoder config for FM357-2 is 512, but the TM41 config encode can not set to 512(the minimal is 1000),so I set TM41 encoder setting 1024, so when FM357 search zero mark, the servo motor must rotate more one resolution, it is not big issue, but the issue is why the zero mark of FM357 read is not same position( I set FM357-2 search zero mark after BERO switch)

Dave Posts: 271 Rating: (29)	Hello Yeapoy, You indicate that you believe you have anencoder issue with a Sinamics S120 connected to a small 1FK7022-xAK7x-xLxx AC servomotor with a EnDat absolute encoder. The S120 includes a TM41 and it is providing you with a TTL emulation to your FM357-2 position controller. I wonder how it was decided to design your system. I believe you could control your S120 drive using the Profibus with Motion Control port on the FM-357-2 and use a standard telegram to communicate to the drives and perhaps make use of the EnDat encoder information as well. Your local Siemens sales office should be able to guide you with this in the best way. All references in the FM-357-2 manual refers to Simodrive 611U and MasterDrives 6SE70 and no mention of Sinamics S120. Also, as I see you have decided to make a marker (or reference pulse) by using a BERO switch. An EnDat encoder does not provide a marker pulse. If you make a marker pulse it must be wired in so that this marker pulse comes in once per revolution of the motor. Questions about FM-357-2 configuration and interface should be directed to the SIMATIC S-7 forum I would think and not the Sinamics forum. Hope this helps...

ANSWER: A SINAMICS S120 can only be connected to the FM357-2 via the analog drive interface. A connection via Profibus-DP is not possible today. The analog connection can be done using a TM41, like it is possible with the FM354. The TM41 receives the analog speed setpoint of the FM and returns an actual "encoder" value from the drive. One TM41 is needed per axis. If a machine encoder is required for position control a TB30 can also be used for the analog connection. The TB30 is an option board for the CU320 and has 2 analog inputs for speed setpoints. Further information about the connection of the TM41 or the TB30 can be found in the SINAMICS Documentation. Ordering information is available in the catalog D21.1 (Chapter 2). I know it make a bad choise for SSI encoder for this application, so the issue is the TM41 can not provide correct zero mark every time.so I would like use the FM357 reference not require, every time power on and move S120 to zero position, than power on PLC again, the FM357 will set the encoder to zero. so how to write the parameter for zero the FM357 encoder and how to stop PLC and restart PLC again instead power on PLC or FM357? Thank you!

If so please let me know about that. thanks very much.

yeapoy Posts: 17 Rating: (1)	Yes, I have solved the issues. because I make the motor with wrong encode, for zero reference of absolute encode is not possible, but I am not change the encode to increasement type. I use Sinamics( telegraph 111,)go back to home position, than use CNC program set the reference to zero,. I don't know you situation is same with me or not. and if you are question ,we can discuss later.
