WinCC - Horn Editor - Horn works on ES; Not on OS

Ratnic Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Windows XP Pro SP2 on both ES & OS. WinCC V6.2 SP2 on both ES & OS; Same installation discs used. My EShas RC on it; the OS only has RT on it. I have set up an internal bit for the horn in my project. I put a button on the screen that toggles the bit when pressed and released. I set up the Horn Editor with this tag and set it to one of the standard WinCC sounds (one of the three; I used the danger one). When running the screens on my ES in WinCC the horn works. I have to wait about 30 seconds after start up of the screens before it works; but once working it works well. When running the screens on the OS under Runtime, the horn never works. I play the sound file on the OS manually using Windows Media Player, and it works. All volumes are up. What could be the problem? This is an easy set up.Very standard usage. I read the FAQ; so please do not answer this post with a link to it saying; "go here for help." Thanks

Ratnic Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Fixed: This is what I did. On my ES I had Basic Process Control loaded. I had to load the same thing on my OS. Didn't see anything about what to load for what reason in the Installation manual. So I just loaded RT for my OS. Come on Siemens get it together! Revise the Installation manual and describe what the components do so we can load up the correct components. I waisted 4 days on this issue!
