Using digital inputs of micromaster drive

Jasner Experienced Member Joined: 6/10/2008 Last visit: 12/1/2025 Posts: 198 Rating: (1)	Hello to all, I wonder if digital inputs of micromaster can be used in such was to allow changes of motor speed in steps? For example, I need to have four levels of speed (0%, 30%, 60% and 100%). I can do this with analog input, but I need to program additional logic on PLC side. Since I have digital outputs of PLC already ready, I wonder if they can be used and micromaster configured to change speed (not quite in steps bu more like ramps between discrete values)? Thank you

David-S Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello Jasner, I would suggest using "Fixed Setpoints" (Preset Speeds) for Micromaster. You can assign a "Fixed Setpoint" for (4) Micromaster digital inputs requiring (4) digital outputs from your PLC or you can use a Binary Selection allowing you to use half of the inputs.You can make adjustment to the Ramp-up and Ramp-down times to customize your configuration further.
