pt100 connection diagram ?!

I have module AI8x13Bit and want to use e.g 0 channel So it has 1 terminal U+ 2 terminal I+ 3 terminal S- 4 terminal M+ 5 terminal M- 2) I have pt100 box with wire nr 1, 2 and 3 (i think it 3 wire connection ) 3) I have th100head which i put into pt100 box, but the question is - how i connect wires inside ? th100head has terminals 1+ , 2- and 3,6,4,5 i guess i need to connect with pt100 resistance element wires 1,2,3 ?! But in what sequences ?! And main question , how i connect it with AI module, i tried to connect 1+ of th100 with I+ (terminal 2) and 2- with M- (terminal 5) of AI, but got nothing (actually i tried a lot of combinations and this didn't give any result - i still have 0 on PIW) In channel 0 hardware i put input I (4mA-20mA) Maybe i need to connect another terminals of AI ? Or i need to connect e.g M- in parallel with power supply? So what i do wrong ? I try to get 4mA - 20mA , since program is taking mA from PIW and scaling it between -30 C and+60 Cwith FB SCALE. Can you make a sample-simple drawing or diagram of complete system connection ? Thank you !

If it is a dedicted RTD module, simply follow the connection diagrams. If it is a multi-signal AI cad, you might need to do some hardware/software configuration before you connect your RTD and read a correct value. Actually, wizard already provided you with a link to the best source of information on S7-300 analog modules; you can check that by yourself. Come back to us after you have cecked these issues. dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 12/24/2025 Posts: 12472 Rating: (2722)	Hello S7bS7; Based on the information of the suggested S7-300 Module Datamanual, it looks like you should be connecting your SM331-1KF01 module to the 2-wire RTD through pins M+ and M-, with a short from M- to S- (pins 25, 24 and 23 in Channel 4, in the example). They also add the following note about module signal grounding: Note It is not necessary to interconnect the M- terminals when measuring resistances and resistance thermometers. Step7_by_Step7 Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Thank you for support ! I have tried different combinations of wiring between AI and transducer, but the reason was in connection between pt100 and th100. The resistance is only between white and one of the red wire (not between red wires like i tried to do )
