FDI&FDO Module Communication Problem

Ranga78 Member Joined: 12/2/2008 Last visit: 12/12/2025 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Dear All, Configuration: OLM 1 , 2 connected FO cable single mode then IM 153-2 (2 Nos) connected with Y Link Module Y-Link to IM151-1,PM,FDI,FDO,PM,DI,DI,DO. the above configuration normal modules are working fine except Fail safe module. kindly suggest what gould be the reason for non communication.

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, - did you configure the DIL switches on the FDI/FDO modules (Profisafe addresses) as they are indicated in the parameters of HWConfig? - is the monitoring time not too short (also set in HWConfig).The correct value depends on a lotr of parameters like the target rotation of Profibus, and it can be computed with the so called S7cotib Excel sheet. For test purposes,try a valuelarge enough like 500 msec.
