could you help me in the redundant system (software edundancy)

egy_eng Posts: 43 Rating: (0)	hii all, could any one here help me in the issuse of the redundant system my proplem is that i am making redundnant system (redundant software) by using 2 cpus 315-2dp and i dont know how to connect these two cpus to the hmi the second problem is that i dont know how to use the function change connection in the wincc flexible for switching between the two plc t the third problem is that i dont find anyfunction in the plc functions to give me the curent status of the cpu in the redundant system is that master or reserve thank you for your concern

But I don't knowif that works witha S7-CPU 315 and redundant software. Bye

egy_eng Posts: 43 Rating: (0)	dear zak: i have tried and read this manual and did everything in that manual but the bit db5.dbx9.0 which gives the status of the cpu but this bit is pulsating or flashing it is not stable so that the connection between the cpu and hmi is not stable as well do u have another solution for this problem becouse i have tried every thing before thanks for ur effort

I heard, that with the new SP1 for WinCC flexible 2008 there should bea new function. Ifa system message comes, you can project a "incoming" event -> for sample "call a script whichshould "change the conection" .... The SP1 should comes in the next two or three weeks. ( i hopeit). Maybe you can wait for this time. regards,

If the connection to thePLC OK, the PLC reset the value in the script to "0" If the connection to the PLC wrong, then the value will get higher and after a limit value you switch to the other PLC and so on... -> The handicap are, that you have a time different of ca. 1 or 2minute tillswitching to the otrher plc. Which PLC master or slave is, that are your definition

Ican send you what i have. In my program i am using the work DB which is DB5. i am looking at DB5.DBX9.1 which is the bit in both PLC when=0 PLC is Master when =1 PLC is reserve. Regards, Raymond.
