Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi Bakkertje, Can you open the fct files? If so you can simply copy/paste the code in the function to txt file (using notepad). Then you can compare the txt files. Actually I am not really sure why you want to compare fct filesin the first place! Regards

One project is a copy of another project, because it has nearly the same functionality only a few customer specific changes. When we are busy by a customer for about one week than make we changes in the functionality and made some bug fixes. After that week will we compareall the .fct files and .pas files of two other runningprojects. The projects are large, we have 202 .fct files and 22 .pas files in one project now. I don’t like it to copy the text of 224 files (manually) to text files to compare these. Regards, Bakkertje

Bakkertje Posts: 9 Rating: (1)	Hi Cumulus, Thanks for your advice. I try WinMerge, but did I need a plug for the .fct files? The .fct files are show as Binary files now. When I will see what is different inside the file, than is no normal C code showed, but unreadable characters. Regards, Bakkertje

Assuming that an action/function of same name with a more current timestamp is the "latest and greatest", wouldn’t it be much simpler to sort with Date Modified column in Windows Explorer to identify latest changes? Just an idea... Regards

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	A veeeeeeery long shot is using WinCC's Report Designer to create a configuration report of the functions in the project and print it to .pdf. The problem is the standard report will generate a huuuuuge .pdf file with all functions in it.. Phantom's way is simpler and easier..
