Schumi Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm having a problem with my connection between my pc and a TP177 micro touch panel. I would like to program my touch panel but when I want to transfer the program the connection is made once.If I want to transfer again because I have adjusted the program, the connection can't be made no more. It say's check your cables and setting or else a time out error. Does anywone have an answer for my problem. greetings, Filip

The Brain Posts: 1611 Rating: (121)	Hi, if the cable are correct, then check the transfer settings in the TP (!) It is possible, that youuse in the project under "communication" a other adress as the adress which you use under your transfer settings. => so if you transfer the project into the panel the transfer settings of the panel will be change to the setting which you have use under "communication"! So, after afurther transfer to the panel you can not download the project, because the adress have been changed into the panel. (I hope you will understand this statement)

skimmer Posts: 317 Rating: (18)	As far as I remember(maybe somebody correct me[;)]) the TP177 micro has always to be put into transfer mode when you download a new configuration. It does not support the 'remote mode' like the more expensive panels. Hope this helps.

Does this happen with a new protool-project as well? Does this happen with another PC as well? Is there any other software installed/running on your PC than protool (virus scanners,...)? nemo

The touch panel doensn't get any information from the PLC, no clock andno tags. Any suggestions for this problem. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. After the download, I replace the PC/PPI cable by an MPI cable that siemens sold me! Do you have to turn off the power for the switch or something. Sorry for my English, it isen't very good. Schumi
