Urgent Help: FB65 TCONN Error Code 877F

RayL Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I am trying to set up a communication link between CPU315-2PN/DP (V2.6) and CPU314 (V2.6.4)with CP343-1 (1EX21 V1.2) using Open TCP and ISO-on-Connection. In both cases, I get a error code of 877Fh at the CONNECT. Could someone give me a hand? Thanks,

Should be the pointer to the associated connection description. Let's assume the connection is described in db10 from dbb0 up to dbb63, CONNECT : P#db10.dbx0.0 byte 64

This Parameter is the Connect ANY Pointer to the 64 Byte data area containing the configuration data. May you provide us the call of the FB and the content of the data area you point to? RayL Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	DearHristo & J_Bell, Thank you so much forboth of you have pointed out the error I had. I've modified the TCON function block with p#db100.dbx0.0 byte64. The error code 877Fh has gone . However, I still can't get the communication setup correctly. I have the following questions would like to ask for your clarification. 1. On the CPU314 (V2.6) with CP343-1 (1EX21, V1.2), is the connection active or passive in the Netpro configuration? 2. In Open Communication Wizard,shall Icheck the box that the communication partner B (CPU314 with CP343-1) is not a S7-CPU? If I checked the box,the CPU and CP address will be assigned automatically to R0S2 and R0S3 respectively which is not correctas the CP is in Rack 0 Slot 4. Please explain and advise which should I need to choose. 3. In Open Communication Wizard, is CPU315-2PN/DP connectionActive or Passive? 3. Now the status error codes are AG_RECV and AG_SEND have 8183hon CP343-1 side while TSEND and TRCV have 80C4h onCPU315 side respectively. The TCON on CPU315 has status code of 7000h, I think it is correct because there is nocommunication connection has not been established and it is awaiting job processing. Please advise what might be wrong with the configuration or programming function block calls. I would highly appreciate it if you could point out the things I have missed and advise correction. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear RayL, well, I try to answer your questions one by one... maybe this will help to fix your problem. to 1. I would you use in your case a passive Connection establishment within the CP 343-1. This is due to the point that I do not know what type of CPU you use and if the Conn-Type 11 is set and is used the right way. If you are able to use the Type 11 and the local and remote TSAP / Port is set right the connection should work, right. The save way is to use a passive Connection establishment on the CP and leave the remote IP and Port open. This way the CPU is able to establish the Connection from any Port it wants to. to 2. Actually the settings for the remote Station do not matter at all, especially if they are on TCP/IP Protocol and the remote Station is not a CPU or not a S7-400 CP which runs T-FB’s. to 3. If you have read the #1 carefully you already noticed that I recommended to set the CP in passive Connection establishment. Therefore the CPU needs to be active. I got the Open Communication Wizard to create the required DB which is working now. I used the NetPro to create TCP connection on the CP343-1 with "unspecfied' partner. FB63 & FB64 are used for data transfer. However, I always have the status error code of 80C4at FB63 TSEND. My hardware setup is as follow. 1. CPU315-2PN/DP (2EH13 - V2.6) - TCON, TSEND and TRCV 2. CPU314-DP (1AG13 - V2.6) with CP343-1 (1EX21 - V1.2) - AG_RECEIVE and AG_SEND I would appreciate it if you could advise which part(s) may be wrong? What should I watch out in type of communcation setup? Thanks & Regards, RayL

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear RayL, did you ever check which Status your TCON has? Especially if the DONE output of the TCON is set to high at any time during the function is running? I personal doubt that the connection will work, but I fear it would be necessary to check the configuration on both sides, on the CP and on the CPU. So would you mind posting your configuration? In some cases the problem may be in the configuration of the TCP Connection, sometimes the Ports used on both sides are above or below the (till now) allowed area of 2000 - 5000. Things like this may prevent the system from working. To check this it would be needed to have both parts of the connection in HW Config, Netpro and at least the DBs with the connection configuration on the CPU. Maybe we can fix the problem this way more easily. Best regards J_Bell
