jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, Here a nice article on running average. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moving_average_(technical_analysis) You will need a DB where you store a certain number of values. I would use a kind of First in/Firts Out shift register for that. Than add these values, divide by the number of values stored.

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, I do not have an S5 where I could test a sample. And its difficult to have an universal sample. Major points to consider also are: - what type of CPU? Because you have to compute, and not all CPUs support reals (KG format) or doubles (KD) - what type of input value for the avarage (KF, KG, ...) - over how many points do you want the sliding average - how do you want to start (with zero, or with the first input value) ar the firts run - avoid overflow problems (when computing the sum) or rounding problems (you have to devide by the number of values anyway) If you have a limited number of points (10 points for instance), a very simple FIFO shift register could look this way (for KF format) DB10 ===== DW2 as current input value DW10 up to DW19 for 10 values as FIFO SHIFT register L DW18 //DROP LAST REGISTER VALUE (DW19) AND T DW19 //SHIFT ALL VALUES ONE TO THE BOTTOM L DW17 T DW18 L DW16 T DW17 L DW15 T DW16 L DW14 T DW15 L DW13 T DW14 L DW12 L DW13 L DW11 T DW12 L DW10 T DW11 L DW2 //PLACE INPUT IN THE SHIFT REGISTER T DW10 //at the top of the Register
