Each type of softstarter have many pots / parameters to be adjusted. How to start? And how to fine tune it? Here's attached a flow charts for tuning siemens softstarters. 3RW30, 3RW40 & 3RW44. If you are using 3RW30 or 3RW40, you have to go with these flow charts. It's very simple to use. I begin to use Siemens softstarter from the end of 2006. And I have followed these flow charts for commissioning more than 50 soft starters. It was easy to me and it was a perfect gude. Most of the 50 softstarter was of series 3RW40, you have to tune these parameters using the pots on the front of the soft starter. Best regards and good luck.
