JDC_Steel Regular Member Joined: 7/14/2009 Last visit: 10/9/2024 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Inverteris Type K chasis unit rated for 510-620VDC input, 590A output. We are experiencing fault F025 which is a UCE Phase L1 shutdown. Troubleshooting we've done so far: We checked the motor and motor circuit for fault and found none. With the motor disconnected, weran the drive and it outputs the proper voltage without faulting. With the motor connected, as soon as drive is ramped up from 0 the current goes very high and we get F025. We connected the drive to another motor that is known good and we still get the fault. We pulled the igbt's for phase 1 and tested in the shop, no problems. We swapped the IGD8 board with the phase 2 IGD8 board expecting that if the board was bad, the fault would change to F026 (UCE phase L2 shutdown). Still got F025 fault. We tested the resistor valueson ADO board, seemed ok. We are in process of changing out the CU-2 board. If that doesn't work we are not sure what to check next. Any advice? We will try to swap the CTs first, and then dive into the power supply board. We have no replacement PS board on hand so we can't simply change it out. We don't have any diagrams or info to know where to check for voltage and what voltages are acceptable. Does siemens have any documentation for this that can be downloaded?

We swapped CTs A to C and still got the F025 fault. additional fyi: We checked current with amp clamp and read the following max amps before the drive trips: A phase - ~230A B phase - ~18A C phase - ~230A I'm confident in the fact that a Siemens Tech. can fix this drive, but our present economy and business conditions dictate that wedo everything possible to reduce costs. So, because this drive/pump has an installed spare that is running, we have time to work on the failed one. We will continue our efforts untill we have tried everything or if we have problems with the other drive. I guess we will dive into the PSU next. Again, Thanks forthe help!

This is the board which is mounted behind the CU2 board. The optical fibre cable from this board is connected to the IGD boards. Also the IGBT sensing feedback from the IGD's are connected to this board. If you have any problem locating this board just provide me the type no. of the drive and i will tell you the type no. of this board. CAUTION. While unscrewing the optical connectors to remove the optical cable take care that they do not break as sometimes ther are very tight and can break if not handeled correctly. Hope it solves your problem. diwa.
