Time Delay Interrupt

Hike Posts: 138 Rating: (0)	Hey i am having some problem while working with Time delay interrupt. It's working fine when the delay time is around 10ms. However for greater time delay it doesn't work. Plz tell me what is the delay time limitation for it. Also i want to generate square wave of 50% duty cycle of variable frequency. How can i do it. Frequency range from 0Hz to 5KHz max.

My idea is, that the SRT-DINT-block is called again, before the time-delay-interrupt starts (a second call to the SFC will restart the time). To prevent this, you can ask the state of the time-delay-interrupt with the SFC34 (QRY_DINT) if there is an active time-delay-request. In this case you shouldn't call the SRT_DINT again. And i think with resulution of 1ms only frequencies of 1khz is possible only. Next question is "Is it possible to achieve freq upto 5khz without using function module. I really doubt it. But want experts to confirm it.
