gaspar1 Experienced Member Joined: 1/23/2009 Last visit: 12/21/2025 Posts: 30 Rating: (11)	Hello, today I saw S7-1200 for the first time...I tried to work with him and my first impression is very good...I connect S71200 via PROFINET port with PC for downloading program to PLC. S71200 work great....but later when i try to download program from PLC to PC, I could not find adequate icon for that. I try to do that on these way. I open Step 7 Basic, and i go to Portal view/ Accesible device.When PLC was found by the software, I click on Show in project tree and that work OK, S71200 is online, I can RUN or STOP PLC in online mode, I see on the screen PLC program and all blocks, but I can not download or save program? How to do it? Thank you very much.... Best regards Gaspar

This week I had the same problem. There is no button and no function of this. But I hope it will be avaible in future. regards

bakerjw Posts: 126 Rating: (18)	There is no upload feature currently in the portal as you would find in the S7-200 or S7-300 programming programs. However. on the left side you can go to online access and update accessible devices. You can copy program blocks from an online PLC into a new project. Kind of a pain but it does work. Hope this helps. John

AMPS Posts: 1 Rating: (1)	You can upload a program from the 1200 to your PC. If you compare online/offline you will get an option to upload from the PLC. See the attached. Attachment How to Upload a Program and Configuration from a 1200 PLC.pdf (1372 Downloads)

If you compare online/offline you will get an option to upload from the PLC. See the attached. Hello ! I´ve tried to upload the program from PLC how is shown in the PDF tutorial, but it has notworked ! AfterI havedone all 11 steps described in the tutorial, when I go to offline mode and back to online modethe green dot change to blue and orange dots, but opening online and offline I can´t find any differences between offline/online blocks ! Anybody...What´s the problem ?? Greetings.

Can you send us more informations: Go online, open the tree on the left side.Take a printsreen Open the HW config, online, take other printscreen post them to us.
