Differences in UR2 and UR2H

sfa Posts: 70 Rating: (3)	Hi autom I belive you are on the right track. The UR2H is actually two UR2 racks located side by side. Two UR2 racks gives you two seperate systems only interconnected by the sync fibers and possible ethernet cables. /soren

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	UR2H is 2 SEPARATE racks on same mounting plate. For example they have 2 independant internal bus. Think with 2 xUR2 racks it would be ok, but configure it in HW as UR2H.

Do wehave to use the UR2-H which are 2X9, is can we use a smaller rack? Seems like a waste if we need to use the UR2-H or its aluminum counter part. I am aware we need the long distance sync modules. Dear wzrdstrm, Please have a look at the following extract from manual Rack for S7-400H The UR2-H rack supports the installation of two separate subsystems with nine slots each, and is suitable for installation in 19" cabinets. You can also set up the S7-400H in two separate racks. The racks UR1 and UR2 are available for this purpose. Best regards, Wizard
