how come Posts: 382 Rating: (47)	Dear all, Whenever I start Simatic Manager, a message windows "server busy" always pop out. Previously there was no problem at all. It says:- This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose "swtich to" to activate the busy program and correct the problem. Where can I find the program that cause the server busy? How can I overcome/solve this problem. Appreciate someone can give me some idea. Thanks! with regards, how come? Not at the moment when start Simatic Manager, at the moment when have open FC (or FB) and clicked to open variable table. Immediately I recive this message, click 2 or 3 times in Retry button and this disappear. I searched in Google and found one suggestion to "clean" pop-up message. Look at http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Pop-ups-Server-Busy-Error-t221548.html . For this message people say: After Infected with a Virus, Spyware, or Trojan..." . In my case, in advance I knew my computer needs fresh windows installation and for this reason I received "server busy". Finally I fixed in this way. I don't know in your case if this "hard way" is possible. And let's hope someone could suggest real way to solve this message without reinstall of Windows... Hope I could helps a little. Also check, whether the Service "server" is running. But I guess it does, otherway it should'nt be busy .. ! And, did you try a repair installation yet? Try chanching settings of SIMATIC Workstation (set to Single station/user ) as well as setting of PG/PC interface (set to none for a test) At least have a look at the windows eventlogs if there is any hint what might cause this. Maybe check DCOM settings as well. Just what I can image at the moment which might help solving this..

Dos85 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	I hade the same problem. When I started Step 7 v5.5, it was showing "Server is busy", I just scan my computer with Eset nod 32!So I fixed it.
