yolanda_ Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, When I turn on my computer the Station Configuration Editor no load and displays the error "Could not load the configuration!". I tried reinstalling but still gives the same error. So, I can not open the 'Configuration Console' it returned the error: ‘The Configuration Console could not establish a connection to the configuration server. Posible causes: - The server is still busy acquiring the configuration data (Please be patient. This may take a few minutes.) - The properties settings for the DCOM configuration are not suitable Do you want continue trying to establish the connection? Someone knows why this happens? J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I fear the problem is quite simple, you use the SIMATIC NET Software with an OS version it is not released for. If you check the FAQ: Which SIMATIC NET software component is enabled for which operating system? you will find that the Edition 2006 is only released for the SP 1 and SP 2 of Windows XP. As you have SP 3 you would need the Edition 2008. I am sorry about it. Best regards J_Bell

In the eventlog I get an error every 3 minutes during the day. I attached image of the same in post 10/29/2009. In this case I attached image of the services. Best regards. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, the issue here might be the change of the COM objects with the SP3 of XP. I am not sure if the COM objects have been reset to the system the SP2 offered. If the SP2 was already in use with this PC I wonder if could use the system recovery function of Windows to get the PC back to the point before the SP 3 was installed. This way the PC may have to be reinstalled with the SIMATIC Net components again. If this is not possible I fear there will be no way around a complete reinstallation of the PC. If you want you surely may contact the international Customer Support, maybe they have another idea to help you out of this situation. Best regards J_Bell
