Unable to get Configured mode in configuration console

Delphoe Posts: 120 Rating: (1)	Hi, Pros I'm trying to establish connection between a OS Server-Client. On My ES/OS-Client Station I can change the mode of module( in Configuration Console) into Configure mode. However, on my OS-Server, I can not change it to Configure mode(actually configured mode is not available). it remains in PG operation. Further, in the interface profice for Network Card, all the ISO, TCP/IP is in deactivated status. So it makes me confused in 2 matter The ISO, TCP/IP is not in actived status. How to change it How to change the mode of module into configured mode Here I enclose a picture. Please Troubleshoot it for me. Regards. Attachment untitled.JPG (313 Downloads)

zerepegro Posts: 183 Rating: (8)	Hello Delphoe; Could you try to go Start>Settings>Network Connections [Right click]> Open>Local Area Connection (Realtek) [Right click]>Properties>Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) ---> Here the checkbox must be selected if not select it. Please try this and tell us.

Delphoe Posts: 120 Rating: (1)	Hi, Zerepegro I've checked it. it's checked. either Internet protocol(TCP/IP) or Simatic Industrial Ethernet is checked(ISO). However, I still can not get the configured mode for module in configuration console. Please tip me for solving this obstacle. Highly Regards Delphoe.

zerepegro Posts: 183 Rating: (8)	Try MyComputer>Properties>Hardware>Device Managerand go to the Ethernet Card>Uninstall and restart the pc. when the pc restarts it will detect the Ethernet Card and reinstalls the device.

zerepegro Posts: 183 Rating: (8)	Hello; Please could you tell me what SSOO do you have? Windows XP SP2? Do you have windows updates activated? What PCS7 version do you have? Do you have Batch or any other Add on or option installed? Did you install PCS7 from zero or did you de-installed previos Simatic Tool (Step 7, wincc, whatever..). After install PCS7 did you install any other tool or software application?

Delphoe Posts: 120 Rating: (1)	Hi, zerepegro I have WinXP SP2 for my OS. I install PCS7 V7.0 as a completely new one. After finishing installation I don't install any optional application. However, there is one thing that makes me confused. I use the same PCS7 software package and install both on my PC and my laptop. the strange thing is : for my laptop after the installation it goes well as I can get all the communication modules in configuration console in activate mode and of course get the configured mode for the module in configuration console. however, in the case of my PC, no module in active but inactive mode and just get the PG operation. I don't know why with the same software package, same OS but on my laptop and my PC. Please help me. Thanks in advanced. Nice weekends. delphoe

When network card configured into PC Stationby Simatic Manager, can you download it in SCE? Can you tell a lil more about test you did? Regards
