Acessing PLC IM151-8PN/DP PLC

COOLRAJ Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Whenever I connect my laptop to IM151-8PN/DPPLC , the PLC goesneither in STOP mode nor in RUN mode. The STOP LED keeps blinking and I cannot go online. I am not able to clear PLC or reset it. What might be the probable causes for the PLC switching out of run mode when I connect my laptop.I am not able to access this PLC.

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, I suspect a missing MMC, or a defective MMC, or a bad formatted MMC, ... Without the need of connecting the PC, you must be able, after a reset (with run/stop switch), to have at least a steady Stop LED. May be this can help also: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21830698 The CPU is deliverd with a terminator. Do not forget to place the terminator at the end of the configuration (either dorectly after the CPU if no central perihery, or afetr the last module)

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 3052 Rating: (1062)	fritz I wonder if you either "upset" the Ethernet somehow when you plug your Laptop into the network (e.g. loose Plug in the switch,poor Profinetcable connection in Plug etc.) or if your Laptop perhaps hasthesame IP address as the I/O station?
