WinCC Flex 2008 SP1 HF2 and shutdown missing

pigroplc Bronze Member Joined: 4/3/2008 Last visit: 11/16/2025 Posts: 392 Rating: (16)	Hi guys, I'm facing a strange issue, the shutdown function release the runtime only and there is no the following windows shutdown procedure. The function requested for the softkey placed on my screen is always the same: Other functions\StopRuntime\Runtime and operating system. The same project I've been using since long time with the WinCC Flex 2007 was working fine, than I switched to the actual 2008 one and there is no way to shut down the PC but the standard windows procedure after the runtime has been released. The operating system is the same (Win XP Pro SP3) and the type of the PC used also is the same. The only difference is this one: calling the "\StopRuntime\Runtime" the runtime stop and the loader popup windows appear again calling the "\StopRuntime\Runtime and operating system" the runtime stop and the loader popup windows is no longer enabled. Is there anybody having some tips? thanks pigroplc

I tried with a brand new project starting with 2008 SP1 HF2 and seems to shutdown until I have no tag latched with the PLC hardwired with TCP/IP. As soon as I plug a single tag there is no way to shutdown. I also get on line with my country Siemens dept. and they tested my project with the same net connection and it works fine!! I also delayed the loader about 5 minutes in order to avoid any conflict with any other windows task with no result. There is no any antivirus or antispyware installed. The entire system has 3 PLC and 3 PC network connected and any PC has a single connection PLC with the plant. I miss my WinCC Flex 2007...... Anyone has an idea?

I tried on my laptop in my hotel room and tomorrow will be downoad to the field machine, I'm confident the result is the same. Anyway I will post tomorrow the result. What will be the next step to rise up from deep in the water? A machine gun or simply just switch off the power ? Meanwhile I crosschecked with a counterpart based in Europe and has the same issue. I guess I can fix it before leave far east the end of January. pigroplc
