As you have seen, there is no User Archive - Trend control in the Report Designer. I can think of the following to workarounds : 1) Use the Function Trend Control in the Graphics Designer. Draw this control on a PDL and then in Runtime press the Print toolbar button to print the trend. The Print button runs a report job which you can modify if necessary. 2) Use the CSV Provider - Trend control in the Report Designer. This control reads data from a CSV file and plots in on a trend. You will have to export data from you UA to a CSV file, modify the format of the CSV file to suit the requirements of the CSV provider and run the report. With these temperatures I log also an ID. What I want, is to display the temperatures with some ID in a trend. example, I want only temperatures where the ID is 2. thank you greetings Michael

Such as are you using the Tag Logging or User Archives to log the temperature? and is the ID being logged anywhere ? You cannot "filter" a trend but you can dynamically set the start and end time. So we need to figure out where (if at all) the start / end time for each ID is logged.

michaelf Posts: 29 Rating: (1)	Salma, First I logged with Taglogging every minute a temperature and an ID in an archive. I do thatwith several temperatures and ID. So I have configured 39 archives with a temperature and an ID. They are logging every minute. The problem I see with time is that 1 unique ID is logged in several archives. The ID moves around the archives. A little bit more explanation... I have an application with 39 lanes where a product is placed. Each product has its own ID. Now and then the product must be replaced. The logging of the temperature must be with an ID. For nowI login function of the lanes. I don't see how to log in functionof the IDs, becauseNew ids are constantly made en deleted. So I didn't find how tocome up for a solution, so i see data forsome ID. ThenI made a script that logs the temperaturein an User Archive, where i can define a filter. That works, and i can get out the data in a table, but not in a trend. greetings

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Thanks for the extra info. I cannot see another way to develop your solution (my application development skills are seriously underdeveloped [:)] ). From what you have said of your project, I would have to agree that User Archives is the way to go. It is the simplest way to record discrete data records. Would this suggestion help : create a UA with three columns, ID, start_time and end_time. Then when a new ID comes in, log it as a new record in the UA table along with the start_time. Then when the ID (the product) has left the lane, update the UA record with the end_time. You can then use this UA table to determine the times for a particular ID. These times can be read out and dynamically passed to a trend control. Hope this makes sense!

But It is possible to combine data from different archives in a trend? I mean I want 1 trend and not 5. (5 if the product has been in 5 lanes.) For far as i seen, You cannot display User Archive data in an trend, not at runtime and not with a report. That is too bad... greetings

But i don't find how to make a function trend with date and time? In my UA I have a column where a time is written in, but I cannot select these for my X axis or Y axis... greetings

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Oh yes, I have seen this problem. You need to read the datetimes out into tags and then write these to the BeginTime and EndTime of the trend control. Note that the column in the UA table must be set to String andNOTDatetime if you want to use control tags to read the value from the UA. It's actually hot here in the UK too, for once [:P]
