Unless the failure of the IGBT caused other damage in the control cards. It is likely that the firing card is damaged in this event. You mention that you changed all the control cards and still had no connection with the drive. This I cannot explain, possibly the 24V control voltage supply from the PSU is dragged down by the faulty IGBT. The Power supply card actually measures the DC link voltage and feeds this information to the CUVC via the IVI for display, likewise, if the CUVC card was damaged, then communications and display may not function normally. During normal operation, assuming no damage occurs, even when a drive is in a fault condition, communications should still possible. Regards, Graeme

eskey Posts: 4 Rating: (3)	Hi.. Sorry. The real culprit was not the IGBT, but it was one of the CTs. During the problem investigation, we replaced Current Transformers also, along with IGBTs. And since L2 phase IGBTs were showing low resistance, we suspected the IGBTs first. Later tested all removed components in another drive cubicle. This time the same symptom (F002) persisted. When we changed one CT, everything OK. For your information please. See attached drawing. I am looking for the detailed hardware drawing of (-U1) in the drawing. Can anybody help? Thanks. ach Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	It happens if IGBT and/or IGD is short as it comes from PSU so PSU might be faulty and PMU 5VDC supply again it comes from PSU.
