Anolg module problems

Krunoslav Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	High Forum! I have 1212 DC/DC/RLY CPU, with DQ module and after which is connected 4AI/2AQ module. I have already used the CPU and AI module for testing of functionality. One analog input was used on AI module. Signal attached was 0-10V andevrything worked fine. And now after CPU, DQ and AI/AQ moduleshave been wired to real sistem & configured. All LED's on Analog module are blinking! WTF? I have configured analog modules inputs to current. And this resulted in red blinking LED's. Also, after all inputs have been configured to current, afterwards i can't change Channel 1 and3 neither to voltage nor to current. First 3 inputs are used, last one is empty. Also tried short circuiting the last input but with out resulats. Modules order: CPU; DQ; AI/AQ Thank you!

However I have some suggestions: 1 - Check the connections. In spetical, load and field devices should have the samepotential (if possible connect the ground to M of your power supply and use the same M to all devices). 2 - Go online and look for diagnostics on the divice. 3 - Divide your "problem" in small place. Unconnect loads until the syste starts to response. After that connect one by one until start the problem. So you will go to a very restrict scenarios: scenario A work, senario B don't work (A and B differ just by one factor).

E.Santos Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm having the same problem. When I wire the analoginput (SM 1231)the lights come to red and start blinking. I triyed to conect with either current andvoltage configuration, using both external and S7-1200 onboard power sourcebut with no positive results whatsoever. They keep on blinking as long as the wires are on. Thank you

In special, pend the "Device Configuration" and go online, look the tab "Diagnostics" when you select the IO module. Look also the diagnostic buffer of the CPU. 3 - Divide your "problem" in small place. Unconnect loads until the syste starts to response. After that connect one by one until start the problem. So you will go to a very restrict scenarios: scenario A work, senario B don't work (A and B differ just by one factor). Tell us what you found.

For the others that may have the same issue there goes3 advices, 1) Be aware towire the second GNDpin (the one right next to the source pins) 2)Thecatalog wire drawing doesn't show but you have topower the "4-20mA device" line. 3) The current must be controledat the "+" pin Thank you.
