senthils Posts: 76 Rating: (0)	Dear all, how can i change the motor direction without interchange the phase sequence of the drive output in master drive motion control. If i change the output of the drive, what will be the problem, if change in phase sequence in the drive as standard U V W Connection in the drive & also U V W in the motor. Why because i am asking, if the change of phase sequence it will affect the encoder feed back. Here is my doubt. . . 1. What is the parameter is available to change direction of the motor without change the drive output phase sequence? And how the drive will react when i change the parameter? 2. And what will happen if i change the drive output sequence to the motor encoder? Please any one clear me about my doubts regards

Vithani Platinum Expert Joined: 7/8/2009 Last visit: 6/7/2025 Posts: 1977 Rating: (479)	Hello, If you want to invert the Motor direction from Parameters, you have to simply invert Setpoint. You can do that with the help of Sign Inverters (See Fn Dia 275). Drive will show negetive frequency on its display while running. Now, if you want to do it with hardwire, You have to swap 2 phase at drive output i.e. Motor side. You have to swap encoder channels too otherwise it will give encoder fault F0098. If you swap input phase, then it will not change the direction of motor. Hope this will Help Regards, Devesh

As far as Sign inverter is concerned, you have to set parameters as follows. Set U105 --- 1 --- which is permanent high binector U106 ---- Connector for your setpoint. Set the value which is in P443 right now P443 ---- 465 Output of this inverter to your main setppoint Regards, Devesh

Furthermore i have an another query in this when i use HMI option to Scale the speed like what you said the parameters same as if i have a HMI option to scale the value which parameter will be affect this value through PLC via profibus. And then in higher level system (this is PLC) there you make scaling of setpoint. After drive just accept "good" reference. best regards, Hristo Mihalev
