Hi Open "Time synchronization" on the server, activate the group "Synchronization via System Bus...", select your "Access point" and select the option "Master". Do the same on the client with the option "Slave" and wait 30 minutes. More informations you find in the information system under: "Options" >"Options for Process Control " > "Time Synchronization" regards cumulus |

Hi You configured both server in "Time synchronization" as Master and you have delays between the two servers, right? Normaly it works so. If both server are Master in one Network, one Master change to Slave-Mode. If the master do not send any more, the Master in Slave-Mode change to Master. The recomming Master change to Slave-Mode. Is your PLC also Slave, your redundant servers are the only timemasters in the settings? Do you have redundant connections in any way, so that the first server is Master a the first connection and the second server is Master on the second conection? Please post the settings of the servers and how you connect the servers with the clients and PLC. regards cumulus |

Hi samkcr Sorry i did not get your point. What do you mean with: "But what abt the client station timings it will take the present server time which was running delay/fast compare to the slave server (which was act as master previously)." Your servers are not time-synchron? Your Clients has the time from the Server in slave-mode? Your time on both servers run in different speed? The active Time-Master send the time "broadcast" to the network an the Time-Slave read the "broadcast" and set there own time to master-time. If the Time-Master in slave-mode miss the "broardcast", it change to master-mode and "broadcast" the own time. That means, the servers shoud be synchronized, because the server in slave-mode get the time from the server in master-mode. All time-slaves get the time from the network, not direct from a server. If your servers run in a considerabledifferent speed, you need an other methode for time-synchronisation, like DCF77 or so regards cumulus |

Hi, I also attached my settingsfor both server as well as client.Plz check it out wheather i am going in right path ? if i have to change any settings other than this?To acheive the time synchronization in between the servers it essential to acheive the redundancy.
